i was at said concert as i have mentioned before on here...VIP seating as in paying extra, was chair placed on the grass in di miggle of the running track area infront of the stage...was in row three...rumour spread dat dem seh di chairs was too close to the stage n dem contract seh dis an dat...anyhoo, wen dem did tek di stage n if memory serves mi rite, it was afta midnight, the missiles came from the Grandstand area...missiles yes, cause i would not have hit the grung an crawled low because of boos...mi nice new powder blue pants along wid di white wedge shoes n white handbag dat was di current rage, were all grass stained...mi chuckle now wen mi memba...anyhoo, the real show was wen Bob, Peter n Bunny tek di stage fi wat is now known as dem final show togedda as the Wailers....i also memba di blue haze of smoke dat hovered ovah Stadium n remember dat wen Peter sang, : i see di mark of di beast on dem face', wat seemed to me to be every police man walk weh n leff....dat nite was a nite indeed....an i have mi pictures to remnd me of dat momentous show....no farrin act show use fi miss me dem days...mi an two odda frenz use to roll..one guy,, who was working n always was buying di tickets n mi n mi bess fren from HS...if mi fada ongle knew wat i got up to in HS wen i went to spend weekend wid mi girlfren a town...ah sah...dem days yaadie neva mek being a farrin star frighten dem...


even Maxie Priest was bakkled at his first Sting show...Criss Cross was advised to ;Jump Jump as di missiles flew at dem n dem was likkle pickney....Fat Boys were shocked n stopped to tell di audience so, but the missiles still flew thru di air...memories

Mi see dem ID bags below the terminal on the ramp all the while, not sure what airlines required to comply. Dem Neva dweet wid we, otherwise we would neva leff.

We get armed escort to the hotel. Which I think is a little overboard. Caw mi go out in Lagos an nuh feel no way. But is not a place mi set out fi go. Ghana is only 30min away and infinitely nicer.

The PH civilian airport the runway is not as long recommended for the air bus.. yet air france flys in !!!!! There is also competion between the military and civilain air port as to where the plane should land.. once I was at the civilian air port and they switched the flight to the military which is half way to Warri!

after the infinate air crashes and blown tyres.. the company only used one internal airline..

You got to love Nigeria...
