thanks for the compliment...but the thread topic is about washington dc &amp; the american east coast, so my response involves america...also i never said anything about divine retribution...
my reference was specifically toward nuclear energy and the progress of america in particular and humanity in general...

in other words let the earthquake serve as a warning to the policymakers &amp; owners of the nation who are entertaining thoughts of increased nuclear power capacity...
i can get into the &quot;divine&quot; stuff in another thread...see you there!

The earthquake in the US was minor compared to that in Japan; and yes, I think nuclear energy is too dangerous, especially in Japan which entire country is either on or adjacent to a subduction zone on the Pacific Plate. That mess from last March is still spilling radioactivity into the North Pacific.
