Well we practised the art of trying to reduce our global footprint of stuff

gifts wrapped with scarves furoshiki style

sold old toys & games and used the proceeds of the sale to buy the kids new things.

i got a honey do list item done and coupons for more

the kids were happy with santa (mr cb is like Mrs kia and sells them old stuff on ebay to help buy the new stuff).

i got a gift cerfiticate from Amazon (to go with the kindle e-reader me did get)...so me buy an exercise dvd and some books for the kindle...still have more money leave back.
