He was a cool Artiste and I am sorry he is gone.
I remember when I first learned of deep leg vein thrombosis, I was worried about all those long trips I used to take.

Same can happen on a long non-stop car, or bus trip. Had a friend end up in the hospital for several days from the same thing, due to stopping only for gas, while going from the South to the North on a 20 hr trip.

Sorry to hear that is what took Heavy D's life. DVT - sure is a killer - nearly took my life a few years back. Had severe pains in my left leg after a week end flight to London on AA (small seats). Spent 21 days in 2 different hospitals. I went home using a walker had visting nurse service, physical therapist and home attendant. I used a cane for over 2 years and still have a slight limp when I stand too long or get tired. Now I fly business or 1st class I exercise on long flights and always request an aisle seat so that I can stretch out the left leg and do exercises. I also take 2 bayer aspirins 2 hours before I get on the plane. My cousin died 2 years ago on the job from this and she was a nurse and worked in a hospital. Very serious stuff - nothing to play with.

sorry to hear that - seems we come in like shark-gotta keep moving
