nice voice..she need some breathing training....flat at times but she have a voice....other thing is she need to feel the song n not force the feeling..too many singers fall into that trap..dem force inflections in their voices ala a Whitney , Mariah r some singer dem listen to...but like i seh she has a voice...

Her voice is strong, and I can see her going places. Certain artists you don't mess with their tunes and Alicia is among them. Like Whitney, Lauryn, and Celine for that matter, it's hard to equal much less out-do them on their own songs.

She's an excellent pianist. How long did she take lessons?

greeting Tulip, she's a classicly trained pianist, vocalist, writer etc.
I'm not sure how long she's been doing it as mi nuh kno har dat long.
I know shi use fi play inna de church, teach piano, sing inna choir, sing in choral group. I'm sure there is plenty more.

There is a method to the madness of doing somone else's chune which I can explain via pm if yuh really waan fi kno, but those inside the industry will know why we did it. A likkle supm mi pick up while studying at Berklee

Nuff tanx mi breddah Blakkgiant, it's not that I think she'll reach, I KNOW. I've watched her work harder than most ppl I've done work with. Sometime I have to ask her fi slow down an tek care of harself. In one day shi drive from east of toronto to windsor to london stopping in between to sell her sheet music at different place.

Then she come on the radio show that same night and next mawnin we were in the studio fi bout 7 hours (mi hadfi a tell har few times that's enough vocals on the track, but noooo shi waan more) de nex mawnin was back on the road to a couple more stops to sell more sheet music before shi reach home again.

Her roun trip was probably 1200km
