I know what you mean. Ali was someone I always admired my entire life. It's hard to knock him off that pedestal. I wonder if he ever reached out to Joe in the years that followed the insults and asked him for forgiveness. I hope so.

He did but Joe Fraser never quite forgave him.. This I understand...Ali never publicly came out and said he was sorry not in the many forums he had available.
.. I would never forgive anyone who hurt a single hair on one of my childs head.. much less a man who caused my child the public humililation being called an Uncle Tom and called that in school.. There was some cruel ephits that Ali used... The sort that belonged to the Klan... Joe was who was what Ali esposed a man who ran from a lynch mob....a dirt poor man...
Joe was hard..a man who fought blind in one eye.. with a less than 70% mobility in one arm.. This was a man.. Forgiveness .....

Re: Muhammed Ali is 70 Years Old Today
yea no man is perfect and everyone has to answer for their actions...
still i have to big up Ali for telling the beast to go f--- itself when they asked him to go fight in their vietnam murder campaign...
he stood up for a principle which is noble... and certainly a far cry from the athlete of today
