I believe those companies that benefited from Aparthied should pay.

In Zimbabwe after a long struggle reminiscent of the Manley years the land has been given back and now the wealth is about to be redistributed but our dear leader is growing old.

Government shouldn't. Corporations (De Beers etc) should.

Government shouldn't. Corporations (De Beers etc) should. </div></div>

I agree......... but the past racist government was complicit and as a result the present government must bear some responsibility as to repair the damage done - they have inherited that responsibility.

What about East Indian and Malay South Africans?
There are millions of them and they got the short end of the stick for generations but nobody talks about them.

They have been reclassified as &quot;blacks&quot; and so are entitled to affirmative actions....in other words all who can prove they were discriminated against in aparthied S. Africa can claim this right.

What is important is that the present government has inherited the capital assets, largess, holdings, improvements and other interest of the previous racist government and to that extent they will remain liable.

Thats what Tony Blair told Robert Mugabe when he came to collect on agreements made by the Margaret Thatchers government to Zimbabwe, which led to all the violence against white farmers......&quot;this a different government&quot; or was it &quot;party&quot;.
