As for whether or not his father George Romney, was an American or should he have been allowed become governor, that’s been a heated argument for decades, literally decades. I couldn’t care less to jump into that debate. They’re all crooks and hypocrites as far as I’m concerned. Do what they want, when they want - money talks.

George Romney, the late Michigan governor and a leading aspirant for the 1968 Republican presidential nomination, was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. But during the period when he was still being touted as the only Republican who could defeat President Lyndon Johnson, Romney's opponents often raised the issue of his eligibility.
