OK, don't know whether this is the right subforum to post this, but-
So, I'm writing a story. It's alternate history (dieselpunk) set in Honduras in the 1940s-50s and the plot involves the United Fruit Company (UFCO) who controlled banana plantations in the Caribbean lowlands of Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Guatemala as well as Colombia and the Dominican Republic. UFCO contracted a lot of West Indian workers- mostly Jamaican- to work its banana plantations. Anyone heard about this before?
