A Beverly Hills Police Dept. watch commander told CBS that Bobbi Kristina was treated for anxiety at the scene.

An autopsy on the 48-year-old singer – who was found dead in the bath of her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday – has been completed and Los Angeles County Coroner officials have told her relatives that she did not drown.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Sources told TMZ.com that the coroner did not find enough water in Whitney’s lungs to suggest she died in the bath, but they believe her passing was a result of the combination of alcohol, Xanax and other prescription drugs she had taken.

It is believed that Whitney’s official cause of death will not be released for some time to allow police to complete investigations.

A source told RadarOnline.com: “The Beverly Hills Police Department has requested the Coroner’s Office put the results on a ‘security hold,’ because it could hamper their ongoing investigation.”

Houston’s family reportedly plans to have the singer’s body flown back to Atlanta as early as Tuesday now the autopsy is complete.

This is a very telling list and the sad part of this list is.. it is not even half of those that have succumbed to drug induced deaths. This is just a drop in the bucket of people who died messing around with drugs

<span style="color: #FF0000">The Los Angeles coroner's office has not discussed whether prescription medications and drowning played a role in singer Whitney Houston's death, assistant chief coroner Ed Winter said in a news conference Monday morning</span>.

Winter was repeatedly asked about Internet reports that those issues had been brought up in discussions with Houston's family. While allowing that Beverly Hills police may have had such discussions, Winter said he is the one who's been in contact with Houston's family, and the topics were not broached.

No cause of death has yet been given in the death Saturday of Houston, 48. Her body was found in a bathtub at the Beverly Hills Hilton, where she was staying before a pre-Grammys party.

Winter said the death investigation was ongoing and that a cause of death would not be announced before toxicology tests were performed. When asked, he said examiners would be testing &quot;blood and urine, just the routine toxicology tests that we do.&quot;

While a security hold has been placed on the high-profile case, Winter told reporters that hold did not prevent Houston's body from being releaed to her family for burial. No funeral or memorial arrangements have been announced.

The coroner's office will not speak to the media for &quot;another couple days,&quot; Winter said.

On Sunday, Winter would not comment on reporters' questions about whether the water was still running in the bathtub or confirm reports that prescription drug bottles were found in the room.

The autopsy has been completed, but results are held pending toxicology reports, which could take 6-8 weeks. &quot;At this time, there's no signs of foul play,&quot; Winter said. There were also no visible signs of trauma, he said.

Also on Sunday, Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was hospitalized and then released, reportedly for treatment of anxiety relating to her mother's death. Her father, singer Bobby Brown, canceled a concert in Nashville to fly to L.A. to be with his daughter.

did he have surgery or some kind of injury. dat is where the vicodin, percocet &amp; darvocet come in. xanax fi plane rides &amp; antihistamines for seasonal allergies

I dont even like to take any form of tablet back to back.. if I take two RX Med mi usually try to space out the time which mi tek dem

but the painkillers and alcohol can give a good 'high' to an addict so I guess that is why they do it.. Of course there is a risk but these are the risktakers who do this.

I do recall the Levert story. It was post surgery prescription meds he was taking to relieve pain. Still these stories bring pharmaceutical drugs into sharp focus. Intentional and unintentional misuse of pharmaceutical drugs result in hundreds of fatalities every day. America also has a culture where there is medication for everything and this is fed by big pharma who heavily market its products to the public on TV and radio. So doctors write prescriptions based on the patient coming to them asking for a drug that is advertised on TV.
