It is not suppose to happen after all he is well protected by the location. It is new Kingston. He is protected by the time..it is 3:30 pm snd he id protected by tge Police...
They have the power to protect the select. What could have gone wrong? Well there are no criminals among the ranks of the police and they have the ultimate interest in protecting the select.
In addition the victim had his licensed gun.

thats eriely unfortunate.
I was in Jamaica just last week, and two saturday nights ago left the mello vibes session (at the NHT carpark in New Kingston) and used a ABM.. this was between 3:30 and 4AM

a few days later I used the ABM just across from Willodene on Old Harbour Rd around 10ish in the night.. and before that the ABM in Portmore Pines mall.. on a Sunday morning.

I know the scavengers out deh a try rob people, but why shoot him?? thats stupid sad

u have a grain of truth in this...until all life is equal in Ja u wi ha dose who wi snuff a one fi no odda reason dan money paid or wateva else...Doc, memba wen di furniture man did ketch fi him deat...dat was di start of violence on tapanaris...not saying dat dis death will have revelations like dat one decades back butttt...irony is dat dis one like dat one, the dawta is a fellow alumni of SAHS...sad pon a personal level fi me having lost a parent to random violence in Ja....but like u i mourn every death of the innocent in Ja regardless of wedda dem live above or below clock tower....

Jamaica Observer - Monday, February 13, 2012

POPULAR tourism personality, Edgar Gallimore, died in hospital this morning from gunshot wounds he received yesterday.

Gallimore was shot at an automated banking machine on Knutsford Boulevard about 3:30 pm.

Police report that Gallimore had withdrawn an undetermined sum of cash from the machine when he was pounced upon by a gunman upon leaving the booth. Gallimore was shot and the gunman escaped on a motorcycle.

He was taken to hospital where he was admitted in serious condition and succumbed to his injuries early this morning.

Gallimore has held a number of posts in the tourism industry including food and beverage manager at Knutsford Court Hotel, flight dispatcher and public relations officer at Air Jamaica and creative director at Petals and Promises LTD.

As usual the divisive racist slant.
The fact is the man is a brand name, recognized person in Jamaica, just like Willie Hogarth, etc. When a person like that die, especially in violent circumstances it engenders a reaction....it human.

If a member of this board dies there would be pages and pages livicated to that one. The more recognized and liked the person is will be the more the outpouring.

The fact that a brand name died in a robbery gives the citizens a chance to talk about lesser known Jamaicans slaughtered killed daily. It affords them a chance to ask their Government, what are you going to do about the rise in crime?
Over 140 slain already and we are just barely into the second month of the year.

Of course, your, race-baiting, dishonest, illogical stance and the attendant rantings are too far off ......Like a vampire to a feat of blood, you get tickled at the rich and powerful suffering misfortune..what a freaking way to live your life!
