having just come back from a very edifying Ja trip, wanted to see if other can share some positive stories about Jamaica...
Bolt did great at the sigma event this weekend I glanced.. see thats Ja.. a place where despite the challenges, GOOD sometimes triumpt
ok let me try one..
this event took place at shortwood and grants pen rd..Now most would know there suh as one of the most volatite areas in uptown..
Suh mi pulled up at a gas station, getting some gas.
Started chatting with a attendant bredren there. As he pumps the gas he goes, “mi deh pon about 36 hrs now,no sleep, but miawork some money for “the Queen” fi teck care a bills”
Suh me guh “yeah man, wi haffi hustle fi di wife”
He goes, “naah man, a one Queen in my life and that’s my ole lady. My madda a my Queen. She do too much fi me and mi naah meck she suffer, so mi deh pon di work suh she can pay har rent”
I just thought it was uplifting to see a bredren that could easily teck up the gun hawk business to be outwardly showing his undying love and commitment to his Mom..Comment
