yes, Jamaica is a tourist destination now, and this is an investment in that...
(in England, the royal family, withtheir castles, possessions and history, are tourist attractions)

Aw...don't you want to see the rich boy have fun? I only wish he as playing polo in Jamaica. Apparently his itinerary is full and he can't fit it in. I wonder if he would fall of his horse like he did in Barbados and New York. Still it would really help profile the Jamaican polo scene and attract some well heeled tourists.

Hey at least he is not stuck up. He interacts well with Black children both in Africa and, as you will see in this video, in the Caribbean:

Really? Wow!! Where did they play in Mandeville? I understand there used to be polo all over Jamaica. Now it's in just a few places. Gotta love it though!!

The government has borrowed more than it had originally planned as it seeks to finance the 10 billion dollar gap that has emerged in its finances.

The indication comes in data released Wednesday. A 10 billion dollar gap in the government's financing means projected borrowings for the fiscal year will have to increase by that amount above original estimates. So far the government has been doing that. Data from the finance ministry show that up to the end of January borrowings were 7 billion dollars higher than planned. Originally, the government had wanted to borrow 112 billion up to the end of that month in the fiscal year, but has now borrowed more than 119 billion.

And as already pointed out by the Finance Minister Dr Peter Phillips, more will be borrowed to close the financing gap. But as it borrows more, servicing the debt has fallen below expectations. Payments on the principal portion were 1 billion dollars below target at the end of January. The projection is that by the end of this month, the total payment on the principal portion of the debt will be off by 6 billion dollars. As for interest payments, that was down 184 million at the end of January but is expected to be cut by a further 7 billion dollars as announced recently as part of the budget cuts for the 2011/2012 fiscal year.

Anyway Prince Harry's visit to Jamaica will generate a lot more publicity than running more of those Jamaica commercials. It will cost less than running more TV ads during prime time. Not that I am a fan or royalty or anything but when one looks at the $$ and cents, it's a good investment.

no never tried ..my riding was limited to galloping up and down.

she used to manage Chukka cove..she only rides occasionally now
