I was notified on Friday morning that, pending my background check, I'm certified to run on the ballot for City Council! I've been certified! I know I haven't got a criminal background.

I'm hot on the campaign trail, now!

I have nine weeks. Nine weeks in which to have my Campaign Kickoff event, raise about $10,000, print literature &amp; lawn signs &amp; palm cards, do two citywide mailings and a citywide lit drop, hold two or three fundraiser events, and still have plenty of necessary street money available as cash for Election Day.

I'm gonna be a busy girl!

I won't be able to stop to celebrate my 51st birthday, either, until a few weeks after it - until after the election.
