God is a Myth billboard - Good or Bad Idea?

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – An atheist group has announced plans to put up signs that say that God is a “myth”.

American Atheists has said that they will put up signs in Brooklyn and Paterson. The signs are meant to target Jews and Muslims and will be printed in Hebrew and Arabic.

The Hebrew sign will be placed in a largely Jewish community near the Williamsburg Bridge, the Arabic sign will be placed near the Islamic Center of Passaic County.

bad idea...

but the billboard didn't literally say "god is a myth" so there is some wiggle room as far as the billboard...

but the statement "god is a myth" in itself can be dissected and broken down much further than that...
but i don't think these guys are qualified to make that statement, since i believe their definition or concept of the idea commonly referred to as "God" are more often than not misguided & erroneous

Bad idea. They may not believe in God but they have their own gods..

They'll claim that the billboard is not anti-semitic. It seems they were careful to use a sign that focuses on Jesus and Christianity and not on Judaism? Why didn't they use Moses receiving the Commandments instead of the Nativity scene? The Jews probably like the anti-Nativity billboard. Oops! I forgot: Matthew 7 - 1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Thank you, Kia, for injecting a bit of <span style="font-weight: bold">REALITY</span> into the thread.

Nothing anti-semitic, per se, about the one... just anti-God.

As for whether it's a good idea or a bad idea - it's neither. It's called <span style="font-weight: bold">Freedoms of Speech</span> and <span style="font-weight: bold">Religion</span>, and it's the law in our country.

on the other hand couple months ago some yiddish group put up signs in the neighborhood to the likes of (and other foolishness)

these signs were removed because they were illegally bolted to city trees and the group did not have permits etc.
