An Invitation...

I have discovered via PMs that at least two jcommers are very local to me, and my talk about running for election has brought about to us just how nearby we actually are to each other. In that spirit, and knowing that there may be more of unnu nearby here, I want to extend an invitation to my Campaign Kickoff event! It's free and there should be plenty of fun.
So please come!


<span style="font-weight: bold">The Committee To Elect Stephanie Blaine For City Council</span> and I invite unnu to my <span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-weight: bold">Campaign Kickoff event</span></span>
at my <span style="font-weight: bold">Campaign Headquarters</span> on <span style="font-weight: bold">154 Lincoln Ave Rear</span>, in <span style="font-weight: bold">Orange, NJ</span> (between Henry and Mechanic Sts) on <span style="font-weight: bold">Saturday, March 24th between 5:00pm - 8:00pm</span>. Free food and soft drinks. No invitation necessary - just come. Enter through the black iron gate... you won't be able to miss it, balloons and signs. It's right next to Sugar and Spice (my girlfriend's cupcake shop).

Please make sure to identify yourself to me, also, as a j'commer! I will be seeing plenty of people whom I know to various degrees - many not so well and some not at all.

Witchy, I wish you the best from way up here north of the border.

I won't lie and say that seeing you post your personal info on here didn't make me cringe.

We have had at least one case here on jamaicans.com where a very spiteful, cowardly person used someones personal info against them. I pray you are spared that experience.

....not for I ...but if your are going to have elections and invite Jamaicans to the ting, you must have have curry goat or at least manish wata.

MM - re: personal info... A politician lives in a glass fishbowl, I know that, and knew it going into politics. Anybody can get any politician's personal info with a simple OPRA request - it's the law - so there is no such thing as privacy for a pol. (OPRA = Open Public Records Act) Thank for you caring concern, though, my friend!


Goat soup... mannish wata... Dunno how well these things will go over with the majority of my constituents... African-Americans with little to no contact with Jamaican roots, Italians, Non-Jamaican Caribbeans, Hindu Indians, Haitians, and Jamaicans. (in that order)

That is one of the questions I used to get most when I lived in Indiana......

Anyway Mz. Witchy, hope you have a successful launch I am too far away to attend and if i could come it would be another huge culinary challenge for you!
