at the behest of the invisible children organization- Worlwide awareness and pressure will mean that more people will be involved in finding Joseph Kony and his ilk with the added benefit of saving more children.

syria is well known by "the world" also...yet the killing continues

this is nothing new...killing of civilians in syria as we write this is well publicized...a million people were killed in rwanda in a few weeks and they "in the know" watched it happen...
what is new or shocking about this?
this has happened in the congo for years...

i didn't support anyone...i don't have an army, air force or navy;

gov'ts will act in their own self-interests whenever possible...do you support museveni? isn't he called a dictator by some of his people?
i see this as part of a wider afrikan-world conflict which includes sudan, somalia (which is blamed for bombing uganda via al shebab), now also kenya, ethiopia from long time, even eritrea...not to metion rwanda, congo, chad...
basically all of afrika in the long run...i don't have any answers but i have thoughts

....but that is precisely the point. No one is listening and there are even more Jamaicans that are prepared (for whatever reason). to jump and discount any such stories out of hand, even in the face of the overwhelming facts.
