We eagerly celebrate yet another International Women's Day this Thursday.
JaGleaner "Flair", this year, turns the spotlight on some of the women who give tireless service (usually gratis), to various organisations in the society.
Their acts of charity and unselfish work blanket all walks of life from church, to civic to health care, juvenile delinquency, orphans and the indigent.
What would Jamaica do without their contribution? While in many instances they give of their time without reward or recognition, very often some of these unsung heroes are hardly mobile enough to walk unaided to the Governor General to receive their just recognition on National Heroes Day.
So, on behalf of all of Jamaica, Flair wishes for these women continued health and strength and thanks them wholeheartedly for their service.
