He was born in Hawaii BUT.... I wonder what would happen if he announced that he was born outside the U.S. immediately after the next president took the oath of office?

I responded to the thread heading, by leting all who are interested know that it is a non-issue to me, In short - it has gone away for me.

Secretary of State, fine. But you have to be born IN AMERICA to be president, yes? </div></div>

To be secretary of State the constitution I infer says you have to be born in the US

I beilieve he was born in Hawaii but I think it would be funny as he11 if he announced he wasn't after he left office.

The whole concept of the president needing to be born in the United States is ridiculous anyway.
