Julian Bond and I Naw go 'gree Pon Dis One

I have always liked and respected Julian Bond. When he was younger, I thought he was really fine. He still looks great. In fact, he kind of resembles Michael Manley in his later years.

In spite of this, I am definitely not agreeing with the views he just expressed on Anderson 360 concerning the gay rights movement.

If a loved one and you philosophically disagree, do you stop liking, or loving them over that point, or are they entitled to their own opinion?

It depends. If it's family, the connection is always there even if some of your ideas are different. Ditto for a long time childhood friend if 2 famlies are connected. As a close friend once said when I told her I was not going to accept another date with a guy because he used profanity &quot;Come one, I use profanity and you have been hanging out with me your whole life&quot;. I had to admit she was right but I'm not going to cut someone I just met the same slack.

As for Julian Bond, I still respect him but we naw go 'gree pon dis one. In fact, I was shocked that he expressed that POV.

Man seems like I am getting a lot of shocks these days. The hunky senator, Usain and now Julian.

That really isn't possible when the 2 families have known each other from in Jamaica way before ether of us were born. We have known each other for just about our entire lives. Our families are close. Yes she swears once in a while and we naw 'gree on de baggy droppin' and friends with benefits business. Other than that, we're cool. I have another friend who smokes.... yet I wouldn't date a guy who smokes.

So getting back to Julian Bond, we naw 'gree but I have respected him for almost all of my life so I guess I won't abandon ship now.
