Wayne White, boyfriend of Jody-Ann Gray is a 'married, Christian father of two'

Friends and co-workers of Wayne W White, the Kool FM broadcaster being questioned by the police in the attempted murder of his girlfriend Jody-Ann Gray and her unborn child, are in shock. White, who hosts a religious programme on Kool FM is said to be a man of God and is a married father with two children.
Reports are that the 44-year-old White was the driver of a getaway vehicle carrying a gunman who shot Kool FM broadcaster, <span style="font-weight: bold">Jody-Ann Gray at her house in Portmore last Wednesday night. Jody Ann is seven months pregnant and Wayne W White is named as the father of her unborn child.

White, whose two children reportedly attend a prestigious prep school in Kingston, is a very active member of the school's Parents Teachers Association (PTA) and his implication in such a brutal act has caught many persons by surprise, including his faithful listeners to Kool FM on a Sunday morning.
"Wayne has a nice voice and when him do the Christian programme on a Sunday, you swear say him is a righteous man of God. But a trick him did a trick we. Cause him not only a keep woman with him wife, him go get the woman pregnant and now Wayne name a call say him involved in plot fi kill her. Lord, this too much," a listener who wanted to remain anonymous told chatychaty.com.
It has been reported in the Gleaner that the school community is said to be reeling from shock after it emerged that one of its most outstanding member of the PTA is involved in what appears to be the attempted murder of Gray.
Meanwhile, online, much of the discussion has been centered on the wife of Wayne White, with those supposedly 'in the know' posting comments that Mrs White had found out about Jody's pregnancy and had threatened to leave the matrimonial home.
"The wife was getting ready to leave because she find out bout the relationship," one reader posted, while adding that White "would do anything to keep his marriage and his 'clean, Christian image intact".
Reports in the Gleaner also state that White's father, now deceased, was a former aide-de-camp to late Governor General Sir Florizel Glasspole. An uncle in rural Jamaica in his 80s is said to be devastated by the unfolding criminal situation of the boy "who was raised in the church, grew up in the church and continued in the church".
Police reports are that Jody-Ann Gray was shot three times, as she was about to alight from the car she was driving on reaching her gate in Portmore, St Catherine.
A police team patrolling the area responded within minutes and the getaway car with three men aboard, including Whyte, was intercepted.
Whyte - along with two other men who were travelling in the car, which had a crudely made fake licence plate #4546 FU that disguised the car's real licence plates - was taken into custody by the police. The police have reported that the firearm allegedly used in the shooting was also seized.
