on the ja radio dis mawning dem say he is not on ja air anymore, and wha night I was listening to the ny radio, and dem say he and Gramps Morgan now have dem own airtime on I tink it was linkup radio in ny,

so whappen, mek dem let him go, or a him let go himself???

Ragashanti is quite known in Jamaica for his remarkable coming of age life story from living in the streets of Kingston, running afoul with the law on multiple occasions, placed in several boys’ homes, incarcerated in several jails, to obtaining his doctorate in anthropology and being a lecturer at universities. He grew up in rough, urban, working-class areas of Kingston, including Water House, Olympic Way, Jacques Road, Waltham Park Road, August Town and Southside. After his many run-ins with the law, subsequent incarcerations in jails and the experience of a very meaningful event, he decided to turn his life around.

If they have an archives of his Column in the STAR, he spoke about why they "let him go" in one of the articles.. maybe about 6 months ago, not sure. Somthing about it being embarrasing to Jamaica because of the Type of questions/comments that were being made on his show.. and some of the topics. But he said it was Bad Minded People because the show was soo popular..

I miss him on radio but I always read his column in the STAR..

yes man, fe him show did fe really come on late late at nights, it did really too raw and scandoulous, me no know how smaddy so intelligent can so raw, no sah, dat neen a go work and tank God so to, cause we morals already a go down de drain, we never need no help,

his column is found in the 'feature' section of the Star...since Star is offshoot of the Gleaner it is certainty that his writings r archived....

seriously he did no worse dat the sainted lady who lectures and passes herself as some champion of the poor and our right to isolate ourselves with our dialect....poverty pimps r nothing new ...everyone finds a niche to secure dem own elevation...the real crime is that poverty is viewed as someting to champion rather than be relieved...nuff noise is made bout poverty but u see how despite all who have waved dat banner re dat ISSUE n ride dat horse to fi dem bighouse, the REALITY of poverty continues to rise unabated....
