Laughter overwhelmed the Corporate Area Resident Magis-trate's Court yesterday after an accused man admitted to stealing another man's pants while the complainant was busy having sex.
Charged with simple larceny is Wesley Wright who pleaded guilty with explanation, and was instructed to pay $5,000 restitution to the complainant.
An additional charge of possession of an offensive weapon was admonished and discharged.
The court was informed that on Good Friday, the complainant was inveigled to a house on Orange Street in downtown Kingston by a female unknown to him.
Shortly afterwards,both the woman and the man unclothed themselves inside the house.
The defendant entered the house and stole the man's pants containing $3,500 and a cell phone.
The trousers was later returned but without the valuables.
In his defence, the defendant told the court that the duo were having sex in his house.
A report was made to the Kingston Central police and after an investigation the defendant was charged.
