Man takes it all off and runs naked through traffic in Grosse Pointe Woods
GROSSE POINTE WOODS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Belligerent and high on drugs a man takes it all off and gives Grosse Pointe Woods a show they never expected.
A photo of an unidentified man streaking through Grosse Pointe Woods is the talk of the town. Police say the guy was high on meth and babbling as he ran up and down Mack Avenue on Monday.
He had to be brought down using a taser.
17-year-old Sal Rizzo was driving by the area as the bizarre chain of events were unfolding. He grabbed his cell phone and took a picture.
“We were driving and we couldn’t believe what we were seeing,” Rizzo told 7 Action News.
The teen tweeted his picture, which was then re-tweeted dozens of times.
According to police the man in question approached them outside of the CVS and told officers he needed help. When police tried to assist him he became belligerent and started stripping. After taking off all of his clothes, he ran up and down the sidewalk and then into traffic.
Police tased him and took him to the hospital. So far he has not been charged, but police are sending the case to the prosecutor.
