Wow! I really can't believe it!
My lawn signs are up all over.
My literature has been mailed/placed/given out all over the city.
My Headquarters is open and manned more hours than closed.
My truck and my car have been rolling continuously (simultaneously) throughout the city, taking my message to the residents of the city.
My interviews have been published in the newspapers, as my statements have been.
My telephone bank people are ringing residents' phones, and talking to residents. Robocalls soon to start...
I'm still walking door-to-door with my entourage.
I've been working 19 hour days and sleeping about 5 hours - if that...
OMG!!!
I'm exhausting myself. Only seven more days left to go... And Election Day is The Most Exhausting Day of All!
I'll be out on the streets all day from 8am to 8pm -- then at HQ while we get the final tally results from the City Clerk -- then at my Victory Party all night long (or, worst case scenario - at my Thank-You-All/You-Served-Me-Well Party).
Tomorrow evening is the City Council Candidates Debate at 7pm. It's the only one this election. (There are usually two or three.)
Thursday, our weekly local newspaper comes out with it's long-awaited editorial staff endorsements. A little bird told me, this morning, that I was endorsed. We'll see...
Saturday is a big rally: I have a surprise in store for Orange... Orange has never seen this kind of surprise before; I know this for a fact. I can't wait to see Orange residents' faces when they see my surprise arrive in the city. dwl This surprise will patrol the city streets first, then lead people to the rally. I will have street performers at the rally... balloons (dark hot pink + black)... free cupcakes, free ice cold bottles of water and cans of soda. My people will be wearing my special campaign staff t-shirts (dark hot pink + black on white shirts), and we'll have my lawn signs. I went all out - blew the last of my campaign budget (other than the budget for Election Day) - for this Rally! Use it or lose it. I'm gonna win or lose the election this Saturday and Election Day! So I'm throwing all I've got left into it!
Please wish me good luck and a WIN!!
