TORONTO - A former Bank of Montreal manager who was fired for having sex numerous times with a female employee during work hours wants his job back.
Mark Payne, who lives in the Woodstock area, worked at the bank for 5 1/2 years as a branch manager at various locations, including Woodstock, before being dismissed for cause in November 2008, court records show.
Payne was initially suspended with pay in September 2008 pending a probe into a complaint that saw him sent to a smaller branch in Norwich, Ont., for inappropriate behaviour that included yelling and making inappropriate comments to his subordinates, some of which were sexual or sexist in nature, court files show.
He was suspended following a second investigation stemming from a complaint that he had consensual sex with an assistant manager at her home and “on bank premises during and after business hours.”
