No one ever said Taino do not exists. History books said they were only 78 left in Jamaica when the Spanish did their census 50 years or so after their arrival in Jamaica. For this reason, it's hard to believe any 100% pure Taino of Jamaican origin survived into the 20th century. I grant you some Taino could have migrated to Jamaica from other islands. It only takes one family. </div></div>
There are no full blood or even 1/2 blood Tainos in Jamaica. Most of the people claiming Taino descent are descendants of the Maroons who interbred with the remaining Tainos.
