What happened? I had fun re-discovering some of the music I love that I haven't heard in a long time. I was really delighted to hear Delroy Wilson's music again so I decided to see what he is up to. Well it turns out he died of cirrhosis of the liver in 1995 due to years of alcohol abuse. What happened? How can a man with such talent whose music has brought so much joy to so many people have come to such a terrible end? What was bothering him why he took to drink. I heard that his brother was a rude boy who got killed and that <span style="font-style: italic">Johnny Was</span> by Bob Marley was about him.
Other than that, I know nothing about his background.
But Bob said that Johnny was a good man and never did a thing wrong. This is whatWinston Jarrett said about him in an interview:

Did they grow up with Bob Marley? How and why did Delroy Wilson's brother die? Is that why he stared drinking. Did he have kids? What are they doing now?

It is also truly inspiring to see artists come from humble beginnings with all odds stacked against them make their mark on the world scene.Kinda a mind boggling when you think of it.
