There's an African family that lives in my town who have a toddler sporting braids. I winced the first time I saw it, cause de pickney hardly have enough hair but dem grab up de lilli bit she ha an plait een fake hair \o/

Thought it would be a one off, but then they had family over and I saw prolly 3 or 4 other little ones wid de fake braid dem...

quite frankly no one should be wearing them.

growing up in jamaica i remember getting the chiney bump and wearing bubbles inna mi hear

i dont even know how mi did manage sleep inna the bubles and chiney bump much less for a child today to sleep in that hot mess name weave.

there are some in the AA community who think that in order for a child to look like she groomed, her hair must paste dung with water and ribbon and bubbles and every ting must be a part of the mix

dats where some of the mentality come from

i mainly notice africans do this. or dem do some tight looking tings with thread....
as fi di cream mi no seet but i do live in white man's land so that is a factor.

I guess u will like Aden hair then is about a month not even a wide tooth comb no touch it just wash and finger comb ... and when we go Jamaica them say mi must comb the pickney hair
