I doubt she'd leave the baby at home alone with the dogs. I'm thinking she means that the dogs look out for the child. Probably barks if the child is in danger or go between the child and strangers etc.

yes. she has said that the dogs make sympathy cries/howls when the baby cries

but still, those are rescue dogs I believe, so she didn't raise them from puppies. to me that means that she nuh really know dem history.

and even if i had raised my dogs as pups, some of them tend to confuse young babies as "toy/dolls" to be dragged about/chewed (see a couple of cases most recently as well in the news). I would at least wait until my baby is walking.

my daughter as a toddler used to try to wrestle toys/bones from pets that belonged to family friends, so I would have to watch her like a hawk and make sure she nuh exup herself with the dogs. \0/

i actually think this is cute. dont know the story behind this charlize person but i see u guys getting up in arms about the dog being close to baby....isnt it a given dat if u have a pet and baby dem ago mingle and share each others food at some point....not ideal but it happens no and i am sure no mom is gonna leave the two unattended for long. yes it only takes a second i know but...maybe this was just a picture moment....or maybe the dog is quite the little baby sitter.

my mom tells me she use to leave me alone sleeping in the house and leave breezy (the dog) at the front door to watch out for me. of course she only go up the road or so...but even when she outside washing she would leave me on the veranda and the dog mek sure i would stay there.....
