I can't hold this news back any longer. It's out on the 'Net and smaddy here may see it and ask me why I didn't tell it sooner. Especially why I waited so long to tell unnu this bad news when unnu are some of my oldest Internet friends...
Mr Witchy had a stroke 10 days ago.
I'm just having a bad time discussing this; that's why I didn't tell the news here yet. I could hide here and 'forget' it for a while. (not really forget, but not see it and be asked about it all the time by well-meaning people - you know?) But I can't not tell unnu. So I've said it.
He's home. He lost his sight and power of speech. He was driving when he had his stroke. I was the front seat passenger. Well, to be more specific, we were hit by someone running from the police (coming from the opposite direction) who crossed the double solid line; the police lost that driver in the chase. My antique Oldsmobile was damaged. And I just finished the restoration bodywork. sigh Now I'll have to re-do some of it all over again. Anyway, immediately after the accident, Mr Witchy had his stroke. He couldn't speak nor see. Everything else 'worked right'.
Mr Witchy has since regained his sight. He's still having speech problems. He's working some days (since he can do everything else but converse, and he doesn't need to converse to write custom software), the days he's not getting medical tests done.
