Facebook and privacy are always going to be linked due to the personal information each account inevitably holds. The number one social media network is regularly making headlines over privacy concerns, and today is no different.

A home in Australia was robbed last week by two masked men just a few hours after an image of cash appeared on Facebook. The image showed a large pile of cash and was posted by a 17-year-old girl who was helping count her grandmother’s savings. It didn’t take long for the robbers to figure out where the house was located and travel there with the intention of stealing it.

The image was posted at 4pm on Thursday, May 24. At 11:30pm that day the two masked men arrived wielding a knife and wooden club. They forced their way into the house wanting to speak to the 17-year-old about...

when will people learn when it comes to posting them business on facebook ???

betta yet turn off the location settings and be careful who u a friend and check the privacy issue

The bandits searched the house and took a small amount of cash as well as other property before leaving. No one was injured.

Police said that earlier Thursday, the girl had posted a picture on her Facebook page of a “large sum of cash” she had helped count at her 72-year-old grandmother’s home in Sydney, 120 kilometers (75 miles) northeast of Bundanoon.

FB has the option to post where the photo was taken or where you are logging in. That and reading the person FB page dem prolly figure out the location

unless you have privacy settings, anyone on fb can read your page and posts, and even with privacy settings, if you post on a friend's page, their friends can see your posts. Privacy is not the reason for being on fb

but it seems a shot in a million that a would be robber was scanning a strangers FB and came across a picture of a lot of money and then took the time to find out where the person lived (they went to her house) but did not take the time to read the blabber mouth info that she was gone to grandma house. then these seasoned high tech crooks only can come up with a knife and a club to do the robbery?

what i think is much more likley is that some of her bad breed friends saw her picture and go over to her house put on mask and try mek some easy money.
