I don't understand the fascination in what goes on in someone else's bedroom. Maybe it means that there's not enough going on in theirs.

I totally agree.
Curious, isn't it? It's as if there is just so much homoerotic envy within some individuals that it just spills out and this is how they decide to express the feelings they can no longer contain.
Maybe this is how they feel they can keep hold of their ever-loosening grip: being mindlessly "reassured" by others who feel the same.
