Two years ago as Mr. PZ opened his eyes from his hospital bed, I whispered, &quot;Happy Father's Day, sweetie.&quot; He looked at me like he was trying to say something. Then he closed his eyes. He never opened his eyes again. We held hands when he died shortly thereafter.

Yesterday, adult son and I went to his dad's favorite restaurant. While we waited to be served, a sudden bout of grief overcame both of us at the same time. We left before ordering.

On our way back home, each was very quiet as unexpected tears streamed down our faces. Then suddenly son said brightly, &quot;Hey mom, how bout some sushi?&quot; My face lit up! The two of us headed to our favorite sushi place and talked about life over California rolls and sashimi.

My son then told me how lucky he was to have had a father like Mr. PZ. He is right about that.

I had good intentions, but had an experience similar to Sandi with the sun and running, and did knock out for most of yesterday.

Mr. cb never seem to mind ..peace and quiet seem to be what he most wanted.

As for me: I forgot it was Fathers Day! The kid woke up at around 2ish in the pm. He whispered to me &quot;What did you get Dad?&quot;

Me: Holy Sh__! I forgot!

Needless to say, they won't let me forget that I forgot....

Two years already PZ?


I took the boypickney to a fencing tournament and mrKia had father daughter time with girlkia

Then we had a quick dinner at home (which mrKia made cause mi neva get back till later in the evening) and had a family movie night watching Madagascar 3 (girlkia gift to her dad )
