Woman arrested over lottery scam
Another arrest has been made in the US in connection with the lottery scam operating out of Jamaica.
A woman has been nabbed in Connecticut on ten charges.
She has been identified as 61 year old Julie Drayton.
Miss Drayton is charged with seven counts of second-degree larceny, accessory to first-degree larceny, third-degree money laundering and racketeering, for her alleged involvement in the scam that stole at least 33-thousand 500 US dollars from elderly people.
It's reported that at least three persons wrote cheques to Miss Drayton, some of which was wired to Jamaica.
This was done after the victims were either forced or tricked into handing over money.
The accused is being held on a 100-thousand dollar bond.
