I am not sure this is a good thing.

20. Best place for high-skilled jobs: Jamaica

Jamaica has the highest ratio of women in high-skilled jobs, such as legislators, senior officials and managers. Almost 60 per cent of these roles are filled by women. The UK is ranked 35th in the global survey, with Yemen coming last. Women there take up only 2 per cent of high-skilled jobs.

Is only through we have no choice but to work out our soul case fe survive and mind de pickney dem.

Surprised that they put value on the ability to work but marriage prospects did not factor into the equation. Canada did not even make the list despite availability of health care and equal pay for equal work legislation.

Puzzling.

i see the story and the story references the survey and lists ..but no link to the actual list in the story.

at one point they say UK is 16th in one area..who was 15th?


in another area they say UK is 35th who was 36th?

U know I once made this statement that women are better placed in Jamaica and I recall being called a sexist by someone who was calling for better access to education in Jamaica...

I pointed out that women do consitently better and there is no glass ceeling... they do better in the proffesions, a less likey to be killed, more likely to have a secondary and tertiary education... That the issue was not women's rights but men being better educated... it is good to validated..


But why is it it always takes a internet link to validate any thing I say ???

Also I am on a rig off norway fpr a management visit. They gave me an office with a lady... And she works offshore on a drilling rig and her husband stays at home and looks after the children!

the forbes ranking nuh have a ting fi do with the survey that JA was inlcuded in.

thats why it suh confusing. forbes referring to g20 stats


JA was included in the survey done by the &quot;the independent&quot; newspaper out of the UK. dem don't reveal how/what/who/where them survey , but it was related to international women's day back in march.

You are not God. Just because you say something is true is not proof without independent verification. No one is going to accept things as fact just because you say something. People are interested in facts, figures, data, and research. Same argument we have had about the Taino business.
