It is not global warming but climate change as there will be extremes in temperatures and storms. So yes the Alaskan can have an extreme cold temperatures at times but the artic is is melting at a very fast rate.

Kia, i'm just being facetious as not everyone understands that hot <span style="font-style: italic">weather</span> is not the same as <span style="font-style: italic">climate</span> change, nor does it represent &quot;global warming&quot; for that matter.

In any event, I wanted also to point out that selectively reported events can be used to support any theory. And that is the problem with how &quot;global warming&quot; is perceived. For example I can also point to glaciers (e.g. in Scandinavia) that are growing too. The waxing and waning of climate and extremes of weather are not new and preceded the current concern with man made greenhouse gases.

Living in Canada, I'm a huge fan of global warming or whatever is causing the changes in weather. Last February I was sitting on my patio sipping on rum in nothing but a t-shirt (and jeans).
