I tried them last month.
They stopped selling Kitchenaid about 3 years ago.

I read in the gleaner about a service that enables JA folks to order things online and have it shipped there...one of those services might be the solution so you don't have to go through the hassle of shipping it yourself, customs, etc.

I rustle up to the customs desk in Mobay. Heavy laden with my back pack, rolling carryon containing just the KitchenAid and 2<span style="font-weight: bold"> *huge*</span> pieces of checked luggage. One of them I had to pay overweight so it's slapped with about 6 bright orange Carribean Airline labels screaming <span style="font-weight: bold">"HEAVY"</span>.
Sure enough, I get pulled aside and I knew it was going to be trouble.
Even before they pulled me over, I knew it was trouble because from the moment I entered the hall, I see many security dogs (mi neva si dat ah Mobay yet bah bah!) and new xrtay machines. I don't know if they're testing these machines or what but mi neva si dem yet.
They ask what I'm declaring, ray ray ray … and for the first time in many years, they search each of my bags. Slowly.

Dem look pan * every * single * strikin' * boot … alla di exercise book dem an pencil.
Walmart had massive back to school sales going on in Aug. so I mean – really – I <span style="font-weight: bold">HAD</span> to stock up. Cheap cheap good strong pencils – nice composition books – backpacks – good pen – PLUS, I had a $50 credit from someone at work for Walmart. I got about $100 worth of school supplies for really and truly, baily $20. Mi nah lie. Mi niece ah nephew dem need it man – save di parents dem heap ah money.

Di week before mi leave mi did scan wha Target receipt whe mi got and photoshopeen wha sale price an datie 2008. Mi tell deem seh it use ah <span style="font-style: italic">"si di receipt yah! Iffin it did new, yuh nuh tink seh meeda cyaah inna di bax? Whappin' to yuh mah?"</span>
The guy fell for it – the woman TOTALLY didn't and went to call another supervisor. Same time … the commotion over my shoulder has turned into world war 3 because a fellow has brought cooked Italian sausages and didn't declare it and customs is telling him that he can't take it in because it's just not allowed – not because he didn't declare it but because it's not allowed. He's furious and can't understand why because the sausage isn't raw, it's cooked. Sheer bedlam. <span style="font-weight: bold">Ah wha kiss di guy yuh sheg … !</span>
The male agent tells me to pack up and move along.
All praise to the Lord – sweet KitchenAid success.
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions but man o man, I couldn't risk checking it. I didn't want it out of my SIGHT! Mi fraid dem tief it ar it damage. Cost too much money fi it damage yah sah. Mi preffa dem charge mi dan it damage.Comment

Gen – every once in a while I like to use the Dettol cake soap to bathe, ar fi rinse out mi rag en time mi done bade.
Anytime mi go home mi buy wha rhass bag ah Dettol cake soap.
Last time mi buy dem – EACH cake soap was $100.
Dass 2011 price.
Days, days, days … all mi look mi look mi look, mi cyaah fine di single cake soap dem.
Maybe there just wasn't any in the area I was in or no one in the market had any at the time but all I could find was the 2 pack of the soap.

AND – the design is now different – they are smaller.

All I can say the 12 piece of luggage between me and mi sis never get checked and sorry to say is the ooman dem is normally the ole fawt at customs

I was sooooooo happy to see HER so happy. She was doubly so because it's not something she was expecting or looking for.
