Will they let me carry it on the plane?

Will it be deemed a deadly weapon or a potential weapon?

Was going to wrap it up and put it in hand luggage.

what i would suggest is pack the stand, the bowls, the blades etc and check that and carry the mixer engine part in you hand luggage.

how dem can ship all the way from china or where ever dem mek dem and reach in one piece and yuh cant carry dem go jamaica widout problem?

Have you seen the box these come in?

I can't put the boxed up mixer in my luggage. First off it wont fit.

Which would mean that the bowls will have to come out of the box - I can't trust that the bowls, which are metal and glass, will survive by just wrapping them carefully and putting them in the luggage ...

I may have to get the person taking me to the airport to wait 'til I clear security I guess - because if they make me not take it in as my hand luggage, I'll have to go back out and give it to my drive and leave it.

A baggage handler is an altogether different story than something shipping from china on a shrink wrapped pallet.

The weight on that thing is 25 pounds and it is bulky like heck.

Keep it in the shipping box and pack it in your suitcase.

Is this KitchenAid available in Jamaica? Even if you have to pay and extra $US100 for it there, it's not worth the headache to bring one down.

It can't fit in the suitcase. Also can't fit in my large rolling duffle. The shape and size of the box just doesn't work.

If you find a Kitchen aid IN Jamaica, it's MORE than double the price.
