the argument is going to be an opinion piece and they do not censor opinions.
same thing when there was backlash against a rob ford cartoon they published.When its hot in the jungle of peace I go swimming in the ocean of love.....

Spread the word...I am not taking this lightly at all. This will be a very busy weekend and I will be rounding up every community member that i know. Please contact the Toronto Star and advise them of your disagreement with the picture

The press could not get away with this in the US. It would not get past the editor. Big difference between US and Canada. No Canadian versions of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? Will or do they cross the border?

a 14 y/o did get killed at a *community get together* - another little girl got her eye shot out on the TTC. there was that 4 y/o a couple years ago, then there was the grazing bullets through the bedroom wall of another. far fetched?

Well if you do the permutations and probabilities ---- then to say they should EXPECT to get shot is far-fetched...

Agreed, though the knee-jerk reaction is understandable. The fact is our children do face increased risks anytime violence escalates in community housing areas and child abuse is often unreported or easily explained away.aka ChurchDude. I want that moniker back! Until then....
