Vannie - <span style="font-weight: bold">those kids were legally MJ's</span>. End of story, insofar as the Law is concerned... and that's all that matters, in the end. His kids. His heirs.

But really, he could have named anybody - even total stranger(s) - his heir(s), and the Will would have been properly probated - making the named heir(s), the heir(s) legally. Done deed. And nothing would have changed that, either, had MJ done so.
