Housewives of OC Confuses me About Trophy Wives

I am totally confused. I am only part way through watching Housewives of OC for the second time. I tuned in for the first time after 20/20 profiled Vicki's boyfriend as a total fake and scumbag.

No I am not THAT bored. Just have a whack of work to do on my laptop and need something that requires absolutely no brain cells in the background.

I used to see the commercials. From what I understood, this show was supposed to be about blonde trophy wives, their rich husbands, furs, cars, and all the trinkets that go with their perfect lives.

Supposedly, these are the women that men say they want (e.g. according to what men say they want on dating sites in North America and in interviews, etc.). So how come these women are one by one getting divorced. Even Tamra who the commercials used to say had fake everything is divorced. She was supposed to be the hottest housewife in Orange County:

So if this is what White men insist they want and they will jump over each other to get, what is going on? Are these men trading in their trophy wives for newer models? All the drama and the screeching. What is that all good for? I guess the Botox, fake boobs, nose jobs, and bleached blonde hair aren't working.

Sorry this confuses me. If she is supposed to be the number one trophy wife, how come she is divorced twice?

Also for the life of me I don't understand how throwing a dog's leash at someone constitutes spousal abuse.
