KINGSTON, Jamaica — THE Jamaica Observer poll on social networking site Twitter, to see which athlete is indeed the sexiest — by young Jamaica’s standard — has turned up some interesting responses.
The poll came about after the Daily Mail Online included Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt among the sexiest men in London for the 2012 Olympic Games; a story to which many Jamaicans on Twitter responded with shock.
“What! No Asafa?!” “What the hell? I’d give that to Asafa!” and “Give me Asafa any day!” were some of the responses.
After an hour, voters put Jamaican athletes Asafa Powell, Michael Frater, Shelly-Ann Fraser and hurdler Bridgette Foster-Hilton in the lead.
Also on the list were American swimmer Michael Phelps, hurdler David Oliver, tennis star Serena Williams and swimmer Ryan Lochte.
