Are you confusing voter suppression with voter personal responsiblity of proof of who they are?
Do you complain when someone asks you for proof of ID when you make a purchase with your credit or debit or bank card? Using the same criteria this would be purchaser suppression?

Why is it a inconvenience for the usual suspects to obey the law and follow rules to protect an election process?

If one person is stopped from voting illegally the law is justified. A state is within it's right to require proper ID.

Don't forget that the majority of US population is white, and that's what got Obama elected. More white people voted for Obama than black people, just for the simple reason that blacks only make up 13% of US population and whites make up about 74% of US population.

Among the recently rejected laws are strict voter identification laws, provisional voting restrictions, limits on voter registration drives, and reduced availability for early voting.

Here’s a partial roundup:

•Florida:[/b] Gov. Rick Scott (R) signed a bill last year to impose harsh new restrictions on third-party voter registration groups, requiring them to turn in completed registration forms 48 hours — to the minute — after completion, or face fines. A federal judge blocked the law in late May and agreed to permanent kill its provisions this week. In a separate case, a judge rejected provisions earlier this month that would have reduced the number of days and hours available for earlier voting.
•<span style="font-weight: bold">Ohio: A 2006 Ohio law, signed by then-Gov. Bob Taft (R), said that even in cases where poll-workers steer voters to the wrong polling place, provisional votes cast in the wrong precinct must be discarded. Monday, a federal judge granted an injunction to block this rule.
•Texas: A U.S. District Court three-judge panel blocked a Texas voter ID law — signed by Gov. Rick Perry (R) last May, finding that it “imposes strict, unforgiving burdens on the poor” and that “a disproportionately high percentage of African Americans and Hispanics in Texas live in poverty.” Earlier this week, a different federal three-judge panel ruled the state’s gerrymandered redistricting law was also in violation of the Voting Rights Act.
•[b]Wisconsin:</span> In July, a state circuit court judge blocked a voter ID law, signed by Gov. Scott Walker (R). In his ruling, he noted the law addressed a problem that was “very limited, if indeed it exists” and would create a “needless and significant impairment of the right to vote.”
In addition, a federal court in South Carolina is currently considering the legality of a voter identification law. South Carolina state officials have shown no examples of actual in-person voter impersonation fraud and have conceded that requiring a photo identification to vote would not actually prevent a determined voter impersonator from voting as someone else.

These illegal voter suppression tactics — ostensibly designed to solve the virtually non-existent problem of voter fraud — are the real election fraud.

<span style="font-size: 14pt"><span style="font-weight: bold">Acquiring a Texas gun license</span></span>Any handgun owner applying for a CHL must pass a concealed handgun license course, a criminal background check and be fingerprinted. Those applying for a Texas gun license need to prove residence by showing a driver's license, utility bill stub, voter registration card or other official document that shows the applicant's address. Gun permits issued in the state of Texas are valid for four years.

The state offers reduced license fee rates for senior citizens, peace or judicial officers, indigents, attorneys, veterans, active military and retired federal agents. Fee exemptions are given only to applicants who are state felony prosecutors.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Out-of-state applicants may apply for a Texas CHL, but they must take the qualifying course in Texas. Gun owners moving into Texas who already hold a gun license in their previous state of residence may quality for a Texas license without the handgun course if authorities deem that the issuing state is equally as stringent in their licensing laws. Waiting periods may be required after a move into the state, depending on the gun owner's situation; this can be verified through the Texas Department of Public Safety</span>.

Convicted felons and some individuals with misdemeanor convictions are disqualified from applying for Texas gun licenses. Other factors that may disqualify a person from obtaining a license are those with active restraining orders against them, persons with pending criminal charges and those who are delinquent on government fees, child support or student loa
