Hi Everyone.
I want to tell you a little about myself. I sing and play guitar, and very often I write and sing songs in my dreams. Sometimes I sing in other languages or other accents in my dreams, and am always blown away when that happens. I believe that I'm connecting to something deeper than I can understand , when I'm dreaming... I had a dream where I was writing and singing a Reggae song, that I had never sang before, and the other people in the dream was singing the chorus back to me...Now I always keep a tape recorder near my bead so I can jump out of the bed and record these songs, before I forget them, because the gift comes but only for a few minutes, then it's gone, so if I don't catch it when it comes, it's lost. Then I go back to sleep and listen to it the next morning !!!
The interesting thing about this dream was, I was singing with a Jamacian accent !!!
something I never had done before !.. About 6 months or so later, I met at least one person who was in the dream. That person said to me, hey mon, what you doin wit dat guitar over there. I said I'm writin Reggae songs..Now he said to me, Na Mon, Ya can na be writin Reggae cause Ya a white Mon. I said I'm writing Reggae, so then he said " Bust me one " just like the guy in the dream. So I sang the song and he said...Hoooo Weee Mon, Dats a good tune, so how many years Ya livin in the Islands ?.. I answered I never been to the Islands in my life.. He said another big Hooo Weeee Mon, Now back it up Mon, Ya a white Mon lookin like Al Pacino, and Ya dreammin Ya Jamacian ??? He made me promise I was going to do something with that song... so, here's where I'm asking for your help to learn Patois. I want to get some feedback from the ladies too for when I write some sweet romantic stuff too..
