Another book of Jamaican photos. Should I buy?

There is an official book launch tomorrow in the Fort Lauderdale area (Sunrise FL actually) by a photographer named David I. Muir. His book (Pieces of JAMAICA) is described as "Vivid photographs display Jamaica's rustic reality juxtaposed with spirited humanity and an intrinsic beauty found in its people."

I would like to add this book to my collection of books on Jamaica but I am struggling with the $45 price tag.

Do you own any book like thing? What is the most you would pay for such book?

That's a good price for such lovely book. Get the 50th Anniversary edition and get David to sign it for you.

I paid $50 for Maria LaYacona's book Jamaica:Portraits and I see that the book I bought about 10 years ago is now worth $99 used.

I was afraid this would happen. That is why I did not post any link to the book or to the launch. I heard David on Hot 105 (Reggae Runnins ) last Saturday night and thought I would check it out but for some reason felt the price was steep.

If you can't prove that this post is from David then it is not fair to accuse him of being sly or tricky in any way.

More than likely if this has not happened yet.. Xavier will be interviewing David Muir about the book and it will appear on the front page
