Here is one opinion of what we can expect through November:

<span style="font-size: 14pt">We are coming rapidly toward a devastating confluence of two colliding panics. The Romney campaign is panicking about itself, and the Republicans are panicking about the Romney campaign. He cannot come back from this, honestly. This is who he is. This is what he believes the world to be. Half the electorate already thinks he's a fake, which means he's not a very good one. There's really only one campaign left to him now.

Unfortunately for American politics, that means only one thing. It's going to get extraordinarily dirty extraordinarily fast. There is going to be pale birtherism and barely covert racism. The body of Ambassador Christopher Stevens is going to be exhumed and used as a bludgeon. There is going to be poor-baiting, and gay-baiting, and ladyparts-baiting, and probably baiting of things I haven't thought of yet.</span>

I did not know much about Mitt but since his latest comments I. can see that he is nothing more than another Republican clown. Not that I'm a total Obama fan either, but he (Obama) is certainly the lesser of two evils.

According to Mitt &quot;Money Boo Boo&quot; Romney they're just a bunch of freeloaders who won't vote for him.


It’s true that nearly 47 percent of households—46.4 percent, to be exact—paid no federal income tax for 2011. But who are these dependent victims, these entitled freeloaders?

They are more likely to live in Republican states. The states with the highest percentage of non-filers, with the exception of Florida and New Mexico, are solidly red. Ezra Klein calculates that Mr. Romney will receive “96 electoral votes from the ‘taker’ states” while Mr. Obama will receive 5. (29 are tossups.)

More than one-fifth are elderly. David Frum explains that they’re “people who pay no income taxes because their income takes the form of Social Security.”

Most of them pay a higher percentage of their income in taxes than Mr. Romney. Here’s Ezra Klein again: “Among the American who paid no federal income taxes in 2011, 61 percent paid payroll taxes—which means they have jobs and, when you account for both sides of the payroll tax, they paid 15.3 percent of their income in taxes, which is higher than the 13.9 percent that Romney paid.”

Some of them are simply too poor to pay taxes. In 2011, 18.1 percent of households paid neither income tax nor payroll taxes. Within that group, more than half are elderly; over one-third are nonelderly with income under $20,000.

Some of them are wealthy, and manage to slip into Mr. Romney’s dependent-victim category due to exemptions and deductions. As ABC noted in June, “20,752 households that reported earning more than $200,000 in 2009 paid no federal income taxes. About 1,500 of those tax-free Americans were millionaires.”

Here's another group of freeloading moochers who depend on the government for everything: Active-duty military personnel serving in a combat zone do not have to pay Federal or state income tax.

Data shows that GDP goes up during Democratic presidencies, so the upper middle class anyway knows where their interests lie.

I just wish the Dems were tougher in fighting for good policies like single-payer healthcare, union rights, etc. They always fold completely or accept limp compromises.
