A police sergeant has been arrested and charged by detectives from the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).
Sergeant Oral Williamson was charged yesterday with two counts of indecent assault, allegedly committed in 2007.
The charges were laid following a ruling by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Williamson was subsequently placed before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court, where he was offered bail in the sum of $250,000 under the condition that he surrenders his travel documents.
He must also report to the Half Way Tree Police every Tuesday.
