Okay with al this talk about Africa and pride in being Black and African, how come so many date or marry White women?

Examples: Some of Bob Marley's kids who will tell you ever 2 sentences dem a rasta and dem worship Haile Selassie I.

Isn't this a symptom of conform to the values of the Babylonian system?

But is marrying White women consistent with Rastarfarian teaching and doctrine. To me it seems contradictory. At they going to step out of Babylon and back to Africa wid dem White queen or have they given up on that and decided to survive in the Babylonian system. I even know some blondes who locks up and are married to men who profess to be Rastafarians. (I realize you don't have to have locks to be a Rastafarian.) Before Pinnacle, I don't believe Rastafarians had locks.

I don't think I have ever seen a photo of Howell with locks. Looks like an ordinary Jamaican of his era to me:

I agree....and that is why I am asking this. What about Claudius Henry, Joseph Nathaniel Hibbert, and Brown, did they have locks. I can't find a photo but I found this and it is very interesting and enlightening:

Rasta is about Love of Africa and African liberation whereever they are from physical and mental bondage to Babylon system NOT about HATING white people......The Fact that Babylon is run by and mostly maintain by whites often makes it appear and sound like Rasta hate white people.

Bob is the son of a whiteman and a blackwoman....of course you knew that already. In the struggle of Liberation many whites fought and died along side blacks.
Rasta is not about Racism but the Consciousness that sees beyond skin to character.

The Idea that most Rasta marry white I think is misleading and incorrect.
Yes quite a few Rasta marry whites - to each his own (fig tree) order and judgement.....does Babylon system has anything to do with this - Certainly. Maybe not for the reason you think. The system brings blacks and whites in contact and they have been intermingling ever since for one reason or the other.
We as human beings are a product of our environment and many still struggle with some facets of its legacy knowingly or unknowingly......We all know that the Babylon(colonial) system taught us Human Beings(black and white) to hate all things Black and African.....Rasta come to change that.

Okay this has nothing to do with hating White people. I thought being a Rastafarian was about worshipping Haile Selassie, pride in African roots and heritage, and repatriation to Africa.

How are Rastafarians changing that by accepting Babylonian standards of what is attractive and desirable in a woman.

I wanted to post a photo of Isabeli Fontana but couldn't find one that was tasteful and still made the point. Instead I will ask how is posing for pictures in wet tee shirt with nipples showing, in skimpy bikinis with very little covered and topless...she even has shots in which she is COMPLETELY nude...and mi don't mean one are two shots...



...consistent with Rastafarian values. Isn't that an example of Babylonian vanity?
I remember Rastafarian guys used to even get upset when their women wore make-up and jewellery and pressed or creamed their hair. You are going to tell me that now they are cool with their Queens parading around 3/4 to fully naked for the whole world to see.

Is this just another example of man is man and inclined to think and select his partner with the wrong head.

Like all religion rasta has changed over the years. but it has also changed relgions around it.

It may be on popular but to hear rasta profess loyalty to jamaica seems strange. And carrying the Jamaican flag. To hear rasta eat meat and processed foods seem odd.

The disputes like the use of weed for recreational purpose seems to have been lossed.

Little things seem forgotten. Some rasta never ate ackeee as they saw it as deadas or wear animal products.

But then this is now a urban rasta time :not the acstetic rural pass.

Bob was biracial. De man say him neither dip pon the black nor white side him dip pon God side. So him liase with women of all races.

Rasta not immune to media propaganda. They see it on TV, magazines and in ads. White or 'light and bright' is more desirable than black skin women - this message is coveyed in ads 24/7. Go to the mall look at the display ads or pick up any magazine. You see whites and brownins. So even the Marleys that involve with black women tend to go for 'pretty skin' brownins.
