DENVER—<span style="font-weight: bold">A gunshot was fired into President Barack Obama’s downtown Denver re-election headquarters on Friday while campaign workers were inside </span>but no one was struck, police said.

Denver Police Detective Raquel Lopez said a worker inside the office called police in mid-afternoon to report that a bullet had shattered a window pane.

“Right now, no one is in custody and investigators are looking at surveillance video to see if a vehicle can be identified,” Lopez said.

Lopez said it was a single shot and no one inside was physically injured.

Detectives are not aware of any threats made to the campaign, but are exploring all possibilities, she said.

I'd like to see another revolution. Not a violent one, but at the polls where both political parties are rendered powerless.

How do you mean &quot;Its only a matter of time&quot; jah yout ? What other Western democracy can claim that 20 (publicized) attempts, four of which have been successful, have been made to assassinate its leaders since independence ? Not to mention the number of times that the White House has been shot at by persons who thought the President was at home.

My bredrin, American politics has been violent since day one.

Revolution will happen eventually. Maybe not in our lifetime but it will come to America eventually. You cannot have 99 percent of the population living in luxury while the rest struggle forever. Eventually that system will crumble. I just hope the generation that witnesses that revolution will get it right and form a truly more perfect government.

I'm talking partisan vs partisan violence-- like Jamaica ---
Where the people turn on each other....
America has avoided this for the most part, but I think it will come into play at some point...that shot was obviously not intended for Obama himself but to send a message that people are feeling heated and may not mind catching a guy's shirt when you can't catch him

remember now, in fairness to the US, they are a young democracy - the Voting Rights Act was passed in 1965, and even women got the vote in the 1920s, still a work in progress
